This oil painting is based on a photograph I took in May of 2003. I wish I could sound like a world traveler and say that I took the photo in China, but in actuality I took the photo at Epcot in Disney World. The assignment for this project was about dealing with optics, and I thought that the intricate reflections in this image perfectly fit the criteria. That was an intense amount of detail to paint, but all the hours of work were well worth it. This painting measures 26" by 20" and was completed in October of 2003.
