Artist's Comments

Even the simplest of trees can serve as a fitting throne for the graceful elf queen. This is inspired by the art nouveau style of Alphonse Mucha. The drawing was done on paper, inked, scanned, and then completely colored in Photoshop. It was completed in September of 2002.

Even though this is an older drawing, it is still a favorite of mine. I've been toying around with the idea of re-doing it though, because I have learned a ton in terms of digital coloring since when I first made this.

I'd mostly improve the coloring. I was still teaching myself a lot of things in photoshop when I did this picture, and since then I know I can do a better job.

I know what you mean, I have been teaching myself for the last 2 months, and now I look at what I did two months ago and I want to do a lot more to it :)
