And thus continues my obsession with pirates. :ahoy:

This was drawn on watercolor paper with brown colored pencil and then painted over with a series of black ink washes to establish a base for me to work from when coloring. All color was then added in Photoshop using my tablet. It was finished in July of 2006. Full view is recommended!

this is gorgeous! I LOVE pirates!! Okay only fanatasy/movie pirates because the real deal were nasty...but I love the idea of pirates and I love this picture! Your choice of color give it a sense of age and depth...and since I am a red head...I love the red hair!!

Oh yeah, I love POTC. Although, I've had an interest in pirates since before the movie came out, so when I originally heard they were making a Pirates of the Caribbean movie I did a spazzy dance of joy. Pirates are fun!

As long as you have your devwatch set up to get my journals, you'll be all set for print notifications. ;)

I will admit to being a much bigger fan of fantasy pirates than real ones, but a lot of the real pirate history is very interesting. If anything, it makes a good springboard for more imaginative stories.
