A portrait of Princess Leia, from Star Wars. I always enjoyed the fact the she was a princess but wasn't all frou-frou and girly. Leia could kick butt and sling insults with the best of them! Random fact, but I share my birthday with Carrie Fisher, which I always thought was pretty fun.
This was originally drawn with a brown colored pencil on watercolor paper and then I painted a series of ink washes using standard black ink. It gives me a helpful base to work from. I then scanned it and all of the coloring was done in Photoshop with my tablet.
You can see the uncolored version of this right here: [link]

Completed in April of 2006.
This is the third and final picture in my series of heroes from the classic Star Wars trilogy. These are the other two illustrations:
- Solo
- Skywalker
Wonderful job! I love the three... I wish you were able to sell prints of your fanart. I'd definatly love a copy of these and your Firefly ones!
You did a great job in capturing Leia's spirit, and the angle is wonderful! She has that look, the famous look of hers when you don't know whether she's pissed off, annoyed, or just thinking... or maybe that's just my opinion.
I also love how you leave the strong her lines in to define the face. You have a very warm style.
Amazing!!! *Bows* You are my master. I love your choice on hairstyles, this was always my favorite of hers! I think she's so cute with it! Everything about you portrait of Leia is amazing!!! You captured her very escence and beauty! *favs* I like the little soft spot right by the corner of her mouth and cheek, it's so cute! xD
You are so talented, I wish I had a little of your skill, they all look so perfect!
