Ah, it's Ewan.

This drawing is yet another pen and ink, and was done in 2001. It was actually the first drawing I did back at school that semester.

This drawing is based on a black and white photo of Ewan McGregor in costume as Christian in Moulin Rouge. The photo is from Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge book.

*squee!* Christian! I do love him so very much. Hah, but he never smoked in the movie, silly. But you did mention it was from a book version of MR... any idea as to where i can find this book? I desperately love the movie. ^_^

Christian had ashtrays with used cigarettes lying around during the movie, and when it was the scenes where he was depressed and typing away on his typewriter you could see ashtrays with his cigarettes in them. We might not have seen him smoking, but I always assumed that he did. The photo that this draing was based on is from this book: [link] It's a really cool book.
