This picture is Charlie from Lost. I had a few requests to make an illustration of Charlie after I started drawing Sawyer. Charlie's a great character, so it didn't take a whole lot of encouraging before I started this.

I drew and inked this on watercolor paper and then painted over it with a series of ink washes. Then I scanned it and did all of the coloring in Photoshop with my tablet, using scans of separate ink washes I'd done for the background.

March of 2006.

For the curious, this is what Charlie looked like with just his lineart and ink washes, before I started the coloring.

the textures on the jeans are really great! all that work and layering sounds time consuming, but judging from the outcome, it's well worth it. ^_____^

Oh my goodness! Charlie is my one of my favorite characters, next to Sawyer and Mr. Eko! Probably because I love Dominic Monaghan. :D I love these new paintings of yours. :) Even if they weren't of characters from lost.

Wow, the pants and shirt are AMAZING. I think the only thing that detracts from this is the linart... considering how realistic is all is, the lineart throws it off a little bit. Just my opinion, but i think it would look better without it.

Wow I really like that. You should make a series of characters from lost. Next please do Saiad (I hope I spelled it right...oh gosh i'm to tired and lazy to look it up...forgive me)
